Tai Duong is a tattoo artist specialising in fine-line, mini-realism, and blackwork tattooing. During the course, Tai provides practical demonstrations, individual feedback, and step-by-step guidance based on each participant’s experience and progress.

Course Structure

The course progresses from core drawing and tattooing techniques to complete tattoo designs, portfolio development, and supervised real-skin practice.

01 Sessions 1–9 Foundations and Core Techniques

Build your drawing and tattooing skills in parallel while learning how to prepare equipment, designs, stencils, and a safe workstation.

  • Basic drawing, linework, and shading
  • Tattoo machines, needles, and equipment setup
  • Procreate, stencil preparation, and placement
  • Straight, curved, and circular line practice
  • Basic shading and mini tattoos on fake skin
  • Hygiene and safe workstation practices
02 Sessions 10–15 Tattoo Designs on Fake Skin

Apply the techniques you have learned to complete increasingly detailed tattoo designs and begin developing your creative direction.

  • Lettering and mini tattoos
  • Floral and illustrative designs
  • Larger and more detailed tattoo pieces
  • Linework, shading, and black-and-grey techniques
  • Design preparation and sizing
  • Fine-line and blackwork style exploration
  • Developing your own creative direction
03 Sessions 16–22 Real-Skin Practice and Portfolio Building

Prepare your own designs, strengthen your portfolio, and progress towards working on real skin under instructor supervision.

  • Create and practise your own flash designs
  • Prepare designs for different sizes and placements
  • Client consultation, skin preparation, and aftercare
  • Supervised tattooing on volunteer models
  • Mini tattoos, lettering, and larger pieces
  • Final project and individual feedback
  • Guidance for continuing your practice and portfolio

Supervised model practice is subject to instructor approval, student readiness, and model availability.
